No, I was obliged to change my author name when someone else began publishing under it and readers began to get confused. As to the genres, I used to write exclusively fantasy, but author name switch happened shortly after I began to write historical romance. It was an unfortunate situation.

Thank you, Corrine! I'll reply via email.

I've been in contact with GR, and they tried to do the best they could with the constraints they have. Once a title is on someone's bookshelf, they can't simply eliminate it. They've tried to add 'writing as Suzanne G. Rogers' to those titles, to bring them under the same umbrella. I believe they've tried to consolidate my author profile, too, but I'm unsure how successful that was if you're still having problems. I apologize, John! I really didn't want to change my author name, but since confusion had arisen as to which titles were mine and which titles were the other author's, I was forced into it!

That's very kind of you, Tim! I've had a few snags with GR since the author name change, so I thank you very much.

I agree, and I've just asked the Goodreads librarians to merge the two. We'll see what they say!

I see it's on there, at least on this version of my author page?: https://www.goodreads.com/author/show...

Actually, it's not a pseudonym. Authors use pseudonyms for various reasons, and I don't mind them at all. In my previous author name, S.G. Rogers, I used my initials because I believed it would make my fantasy literature more acceptable to boys, many of whom might not pick up a book written by a female. When it became necessary to differentiate myself from another author, I expanded the initials into my full name. Hopefully, nobody else has that one!

For me, it's a full-time job. I spend more time writing than I do anything else.
