Emily Hodson Exercise, cook, go out and experience stuff. Writing will always be there when you get back. It's okay to have breaks. It happens and coping does not always cure a writer's block. When you are supposed to write again, you'll know. I wish I could write every day but my mind is not built that way.
Emily Hodson I can write whatever I want. I can share experiences that actually happened and fictionalize them so no one knows I am directing it at them. It's great.
Emily Hodson Don't ever give up and don't ever let anyone tell you to stop chasing your dream. This is a very crazy profession to have for people. I am still figuring that out. Write because you love doing it, not for the money,
Emily Hodson I am currently writing "Pretty Ridiculous," the final book to my trilogy and finishing up some edits to "A Desperate Road," a co-authored thriller book.
Emily Hodson When I was 5 years old, riding in the backseat of the car, heading on my way to Sandusky with my family to go to Cedar Point amusement park, I told my mom I was bored during the long drive. My mother had a pen and notebook. She turned around and told me to write. I then made a short story with pictures and words. Since then, I never stopped.
Emily Hodson Iris is a lot like me. Being a struggling writer trying to make it big. She was created in a short story from a Creative Writing class I took a few years ago and my group really liked the story when we were all critiquing each other's work. So I decided to write a novel and go further with it. Though it is technically fiction, there is a lot of truth in the book.
