Mystery in my own life? That's a great question. I'm an open book (so to speak) so I don't have many mysteries. And, by the way, I apologize for the very long delay in responding.
I suppose, something I'd like to explore is why I'm an introverted person by nature, yet I choose professions that require personal interaction with lots of people? In other words, what makes a person defy their own nature?

I believe that religion drives history. Today, we view Roman or Greek or Egyptian religion as mythology. In a thousand years, if the world views Christianity as a myth-what does that myth look like? Who are the major players, what' the timeline, etc. Can science explain miracles, possession, and creation? What if God is only a being who understands a science we don't understand yet? The Last Archide is the science-fiction version of that myth.

I'm writing a fantasy series-about a third of the way through. Then, it's on to horror, then another science-fiction series. Check the blog-lots of updates there!

Keep writing. There are a lot of people who never finish a book because they don't realize that writing is about momentum. Write everything that is in your head. Then, find a good editor to trim it down for you.

It's total freedom. I can be on a beach, the moon, or somewhere no one has ever been before at any given time. The characters I create take me on a journey more than I give one to them. I can live a hundred lives without ever leaving my home.

I don't like reading other books while I'm writing...I don't want other people's ideas influencing mine. But, when I'm stuck, I do need some perspective and a bit of an escape. So, instead of reading, I'll find a movie or TV show that has a similar genre to what I'm writing at the time. It usually gets the brain working again without making me want to write something else!
