David Orsini A DISTANT FIELD-A Novel of World War I by RJ MacDonald, THE TESTIMONIES by Margaret Atwood, and THE SECRETS WE KEPT by Lara Prescott
David Orsini Aspiring writers of fiction should believe that they have something important to say. They should create compelling characters and dramatic situations. They should bring a cinematic edge to their writing. Sharply observed details, terse dialogue, and a rising momentum will enhance their work. Aspiring writers should have confidence in themselves. Stay tough. Stay determined. Most of all, enjoy the process.
David Orsini I am working on the sequel to THE WOMAN WHO LOVED TOO WELL. The title of the novel is THE GHOST LOVERS. This novel is also set against a World War II background. It involves two of the leading characters of THE WOMAN WHO LOVED TOO WELL in further dangers and in new complications for their faltering marriage. THE GHOST LOVERS will be published early next year.
David Orsini I have always been interested in World War II and the tragic circumstances it created for so many young couples. The idea of a young RAF pilot loving his wife so obsessively initiated the central plot of THE WOMAN WHO LOVED TOO WELL. A narrative of obsession had to involve another man. This man became a young German officer with whom the wife falls in love when she is drawn into a plan to save her husband's best friend, who has been captured by the Nazis.
