Are you going to write a sequel for geek girl??

Cindy C. Bennett Hi, Diana.

As of now, I don't have a sequel planned, though I've had a lot of people ask if I'm writing one. Never say never, though, right? So I won't say I'll never write one, I'll just say as of now I don't have one in the works.

In the Geek Girl, who kept putting the pictures on her wall? I read the book, and I still don't know. Maybe I read over it, but I reread it, and still can't find out. P.S. Geek girl is my favorite of all your books ( and I have read them all )

Cindy C. Bennett Hi, Anna! Thank you so much, that's very sweet of you to say. I have a book recently released, called The End of Feeling, in case you haven't seen that one. I'm currently working on the sequel to Immortal Mine, and hope to have it out later this year.

Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?

Cindy C. Bennett For The End of Feeling, I was inspired to write Benjamin from a line in the TV show "Dexter", when he talks about not feeling anything. Benjamin came pretty quickly from that one line. Charlie (short for Charlotte) is based a little on my daughter who also has diabetes, but mostly just from imagination. Once I had both of them firmly in mind, the story came pretty naturally.

What are you currently working on?

Cindy C. Bennett The sequel to Immortal Mine that I should have written at least 2 years ago. I'm not good at sequels! (clearly)

What’s your advice for aspiring writers?

Cindy C. Bennett Keep writing, all the time. Hone your craft. Learn grammar, punctuation, spelling, etc., and then realize that what you're writing isn't an English paper but a novel, so write in a way that flows easily. And don't take yourself or your book too seriously. Don't give up if this is your passion - and trust me, there will be times you want to give up.
