Rita Robinson The Outermost House: a Year of Life on the Great beach of Cape Cod, Henry Beston, originally published in 1928. I would like to be there to experience the ocean at its best and worst, to see its gentle and harsh side, but something always full of life. I could also catch sight of some of the great bird migrations.
Rita Robinson Growing up White in Central Los Angeles.

Rita Robinson Hi Jason. I just completed a book that's now in my agent's hands. After writing it, since it's about writing, I decided that I need some time to read, study, analyze and pay more attention to the world before starting another one. Rita Robinson Have something to say, and a story to tell. Work hard before playing hard. Learn to roll with change, and know that what is here today will more than likely be gone tomorrow. Finally, know that anxiety is part of the writing life, and so what?
Rita Robinson I'm never bored, and it keeps me on my toes, since writers need to keep abreast of what's going on in the world, and not just their own world.
Rita Robinson Never experienced it in nearly 30 years of writing and selling. I was divorced, and supporting myself for 24 of those years. Writing paid the bills, helped me travel, and made me feel good. It led to many places, people, and ideas that I would never have found had I not been a writer.
Rita Robinson I took a creative writing class at a local community college. To receive a grade in the class we had to submit a story or article to a magazine. I wrote a short fiction story, with tremendous anxiety submitted it, and cried when it sold. It was like the Red Sea parting. .
