Emé Savage I have plenty of those. Yes, they do end up in my work. But which ones belong to me and which ones belong to my characters? I guess you will have to read to find that out.
Emé Savage I'm a fan of letting ideas marinate until you need them later. I use a journal to write down ideas that pop into my head throughout the day, snippets, and bits of dialogue. When I get stuck, I will go to my notebook and leaf through what I've jotted down and that usually gets me moving again. I'm a night owl writer, so this method works really well for me.
Emé Savage The theme for Mirror of Ettek is "Disability does not define you." It is a deeply personal theme. I was born with dyspraxia and I am on the Autism Spectrum. Later in life, I acquired Lupus, Fibromyalgia, and Ocular Migraines. I ran a disability advocacy organization for five years before I became too ill to continue. So, I've learned a lot from other disabled individuals and wanted to bring more awareness to our issues as well as increase representation in epic fantasy. I hope I have accomplished that.
Emé Savage Currently, I'm working on revisions for Book 3 of The Genesis Chronicles, called Mirror of Ettek. It will soon be in the hands of Beta Readers. I am drafting a new short story called Oblation of Shadowsbane which also takes place on Georia. And I am drafting Genesis Echo which is a SciFi companion novel that is also part of the Genesis Universe.
