In the beginning of my efforts, I wanted to write books like the great authors. Stories of adventure, imagination, and the moral lessons of good prevailing over evil. These days, I find story ideas everywhere from science journals to my personal relationships.

My most recent book, The Libran Exchange, was written as sort of an exploration into racism. I view racism as a xenophobic reaction, practically a tribal affair, and I tried to fathom those ideas. What I tend to think is that we live in a world of competition -- for status, resources, ego, food, whatever, and that species/races band together for mutual support.
