Will Charles Carr narrator more of your novels? How did you find him? He gets your character's voices the way I imagine --no, better! I've only read The Hardest Thing and just had a great time smiling at the way Dan thinks --or doesn't.

Goodreads & Amazon have the Dan Stagg Mystery novels order listed differently. Is Straight Up or The Hardest Thing the first book in the series? I am inclined to think Amazon is correct and we will need to change the listings in Goodreads Library.
James Lear Hi there. The Hardest Thing is the first in the series, Straight Up is the second. And I'm just starting to think about a third, which I have a great idea for.

Hi James, I remember reading an interview/article in the past that mentioned you had wanted to write an erotic WWII book. Anything in the pipeline for that?
James Lear Hi Mark. You've got a good memory! I think I floated the idea of a sequel to The Palace of Varieties, taking the hero into WW2. You never know, that might happen - I'd have to see if the publisher would get behind it first. I love writing period/historical stuff, and PofV remains in some ways my favourite novel. Best, James

James Lear Hi Lee, thanks for getting in touch. Mitch Mitchell returns in a new novel that's coming out this summer, called The Sun Goes Down. I'm currently writing something unrelated to either series, but the one after that will either be Dan or Mitch, whichever proves more popular. Best, James
