I'm currently working on four manuscripts (okay, five if I include my poetry collection). I'm finishing pre-editor revisions on Book #2 of The Sloane West Mystery series (out next year!). Act One of my dark comedy is complete, and I've put it away for a few months. I've started an age-gap romance and am almost finished with Act One, and then I will shelve it. Most of my focus is teasing out the twists and surprises for Book #3 of The Sloane West Mystery series. Sloane will solve a murder in Italy, and so will I (well, not the murder part, only the be in Italy part!).

A month or two after we moved to Canada several years ago, I received a plain manilla envelope with a return address on Vancouver Island. Inside the package was a key. No note. Nothing. Just one key. I Google Earth-ed the return address and found it belonged to a small white house. Who sent the key and why they sent it plagued me for weeks. I thought of everything from reasonable explanations to truly tortured scenarios. Definitely fodder for a book!
