Hi! I was so excited when I heard you were doing the third book in the Queen's Council series! Did you have to go through an audition for that or were you chosen for it? I can't wait to learn more about Jasmine's story. Thanks!

Alexandra Monir Hi Ophelia! Apologies for the incredibly delayed response here, I just saw all these questions on my page that I hadn't seen before! But the timing is amazing, because my Queen's Council book, Realm of Wonders, actually comes out on Tuesday! :) To answer your question, Disney approached me since they were looking for a Middle-Eastern author to tell Jasmine's story, and after that I had to audition by writing the first chapter. I was so nervous because I wanted it soo much- and I'm so grateful and excited to publish it next week!

Unfortunately I have not read the final six yet but it’s on my reading list. I’m also planning on rereading the timeless series. It’s been on my mind so much lately I’ve been wanting to revisit Michelle’s and Philip’s story for a while. When will the sequel for the final six be released? and will there be a third book in the series?

I'm a young author. When you were looking for an agent and sending them your manuscript did you hire a professional editor to work on your book before sending it off to agents? I'm in college so I can't afford the prices most people are charging to do edits on my book. So, I was just wondering what you did with your first book:)

Alexandra Monir Hi Cecilia! So sorry for the incredibly late reply, I somehow missed that I had all these unanswered Goodreads questions- whoops!! I'm not sure if in the time since you wrote you already hired a freelance editor, but if you didn't, no need! The best thing you can do is find a supportive group of fellow writers who can read your work and offer helpful feedback, or a critique partner. If you don't know other writers personally, you can find critique partners through writing communities online. Good luck with your manuscript!!

How many different versions of the Final Six did you write before you got the finished copy?

Alexandra Monir There were a handful of drafts- maybe, ironically, six? LOL!

Hello Alexandra! What was the hardest thing about writing your first book? I am an aspiring writer and am writing a book right now. And another note, I have just stared to read the Final Six and think it is very good and you are an excellent writer.

Alexandra Monir Hi Honora! Sorry for this incredibly late reply- I am just now seeing the Goodreads Questions I hadn't answered, oops!! I think the hardest thing about writing a first book is finishing it. So many of us can write an epic first few chapters and then lose steam. You just have to push past the hard days where the writing doesn't seem to be flowing as well, and keep working away until you get to the end. Then you have a rough draft you can edit- and through revisions, that draft becomes a book!

Alexandra Monir Hi Asher! Yes, I'm writing the sequel now!! Since I'm still writing, the book is a year or so away from publication- but I'm working hard to make it worth the wait. :)

Hi! I just wanted to say, the first book of yours I ever read was Suspicion and I fell in absolute love!! I just finished The Final Six and I thought it was so creative and detailed. I was wondering, will the series go beyond two books, or is The Final Six just a duology? Thank you!

I AM BEGGING YOU! PLEASE MAKE A SEQUEL TO THE FINAL SIX!!!! me and my friend both died at the ending and are creating so many fan theories about what happens... if you could make this happen, i would love you forever :3 (only because this needs a question mark so here -?-)

Hey Alexandra, I recently read The Final Six. It definitely left room for a sequel, and I've seen in various places that there will be a sequel, so when do you plan to release the sequel? How much of the book are you done writing?

Alexandra Monir Hi KP! I'm currently still writing the sequel- the plot is set, but I'm working on certain scenes and filling in some details. It's about a year or so away from publication, but I promise to make it worth the wait! :)
