My recent book is a novel named Shadows Of Granada (Amazon ) , it is a historical novel , speaking about a critical period in the sixteenth century , connecting Granada to Egypt .
Dorra the carpet weaver , her grandson Maa-alzahab , her sister Sahar are the main characters which represent Granada, Ibrahem the son of the head of merchants of
Cairo , is the main character which represents Egypt . Through the sequence of events Ibrahem travelled to Granada , met Dorra , her grandson , her sister , where they exchanged their tales , joy , fear , hope . As you turn the pages , you will be oriented of the struggle between exclusion , seclusion due to ideological differences from one side , and open minds from the other side , represented by the great Arabian philosophers , Sufis in the novel as Averroes , Ibn-Arabi , Ibn-Tofail .
It is a story about human beings who loved life , were eager to every drop of it , yet they were oppressed .
That period was critical ,
I set a question who would have the upper hand ? Life or oppression , you know the answer wasn't easy , although the novel is historical , yet nowadays events inspired me to write it , just look around .
