These are a few of the books that were on my summer reading list that I already had and most of them I completed and reviewed.
* The Time Is Now by Joan D. Chittister
* The Path Made Clear: Discovering Your Life's Direction and Purpose by Oprah Winfrey
* Show Me the Ashes (Show Me, #4) by Carolyn Mulford
* The Moment of Lift: How Empowering Women Changes the World by Melinda Gates
* Across That Bridge: A Vision for Change and the Future of America by John Robert Lewis
* Fascism: A Warning by Madeleine K. Albright
* The Choice by Dr. Edith Eva Eger
There are a few I had on my list but didn't purchase yet:
- The Nickel Boys: A Novel by Colson Whitehead
- The Shallows: What the Internet Is Doing to Our Brains by Nicholas Carr
- How to Read the Air by Dinaw Mengestu
Perhaps the latter books will be for Fall/Winter reading. :-) What was on your summer list and what are you reading now? What was your book challenge goal?

There is ALWAYS something to write about, even if a common subject has a different angle. I love this quote by Gwendolyn Brooks that I included on a recent blog post:
"Look at what’s happening in this world. Every day there’s something exciting or disturbing to write about. With all that’s going on, how could I stop?"
-Gwendolyn Brooks
Keep writing!

I always find inspiring content from everyday people, current events, history, movies, the environment or TV. I always keep a pen and pad handy, because although it is easy to put my thoughts or observations in the notepad app on my digital devices, handwritten methods work more effectively for me. Thanks so much for your question.

For the love of my favorite genre (poetry), the desire to share information I've learned, lots of reading and current events, I embrace a myriad of ideas whether good, bad, pretty or ugly to spin on. LOL

I am currently completing work on a book that required a few years of research. Each day, I am still composing something, whether it's an article, blog post or poem. Thanks for your inquiry. Cheers!

My advice, which is something I consistently do is to read copiously works by other writers from various genres and write something every day, no matter the word count or content. Cheers!
