Sarah Gray I went through a period of hair loss and I thought I'd end up bald. To deal with my worries I wrote it into a story and explored the issue of trophy hair. From there it made me think about all the weird and wonderful people vying for their space in the city and what they do to achieve that. And from there, 'Urban Creatures' was created.
Sarah Gray You don't need hours of uninterrupted time to write. Use what time you have; if you have five minutes free, write for five minutes, if you have an hour write for an hour. Consistently writing is the key.
Sarah Gray A short story collection entitled 'Urban Creatures'. It's a dark exploration of existing in close proximity to others. Sometimes comic, sometimes enlightening and at other times just darn creepy.

Sarah Gray Just write anything down – thoughts and feelings, whatever happens. An idea soon develops, even if it's just a thread; two words become a sentence and a sentence becomes the beginning of the story.
Sarah Gray Developing stories and slotting the pieces together. Problem solving and seeing it all work.
