I don't often get writer's block, but when I don't "feel" like writing, but know I've got to keep to my schedule, I will read something by a writer I really like. I always get inspired by other people's writings and stories. I keep the works of writers nearby so I can pick up a passage at any time and read it. I will also do that with TV shows and movies. With the ease of Netflix and YouTube, I will take a look at a scene or moment that makes me want to write. Got to be careful that you don't watch the whole thing or read the entire novel! (Reading another author's short story is a good strategy, but make sure you aspire to that author's ability). Sometimes a writing break is necessary so your mind can gel ideas you've set into place. I also do visualizations, imagining my fingers are little fountains of words...
