Abhinav Hello Wycliff, the final book is completed. It will get released next month or so. I will link it to my profile once it is ready.
Abhinav Hi Wycliff, thank you for the kind words and for reading it so many times! To be honest, as of this moment, I am unsure of when the third book will be out. I am still writing it.
Even if I finish it by January or Feb, there are some processes post that (regarding publication etc.) which would take time to initiate. So, if everything happens quickly enough, then 2021 can be a sure release date. But, if not the case, then 2022.
I, personally, pray that I could get the book in your hands in 2021.
Regarding the plot points, I will reveal a couple of things to expect once I am done writing. Until the book is written completely, I myself don't know what I am retaining and what I am discarding. Thank you for writing and asking.
Abhinav Hello Mr. Sanket, I am yet to complete the first/rough draft of the book, and that's a work-in-progress thing at the moment. Counting the time and processes, I would guess that the final book would be out in a year or so.
Abhinav The Shire from the Lord of the Rings is really a peaceful place to retire to.
Abhinav Hello Mr. Adithya,
No, Kali's Retribution is the second book. The third installment is the final one, and I am currently working on it.
Thank you for the interest in the series! :)
Abhinav (Without spoiling much of the plot) There is a certain event in the book which happens in the year 2005, which had truly occurred. [I was looking for a true occurrence of such an event and that's how I had reached 2005.]
Now, in the book I have introduced Anirudh when he is 20 years old, which I believe is the ideal age - beyond teenage and on the cusp of manhood. That's how I zeroed on to 2025.
Abhinav Kalki, as a character/legend/god, has always been there on my mind since my school days, after my teacher mentioned the concept of Yugas and the final avatar of Vishnu. The story for the Kalki Chronicles came to me around five to six years back, during my college days. Since then, I have been thinking and writing the story, and Kalki as the protagonist, in the book, has kept evolving in my mind.
Abhinav It's the wonderful feeling of telling a story that keeps me motivated and inspired to keep writing. The joy of penning a story is really sweet, and letting it out into the world, once you have completed it, is beautiful.
Abhinav I take a break for sometime (like a few days), distract myself with movies, books or series, and come back to my story later. The break is important since it liberates your mind off of your story and this lets your subconscious work on the story while you are relaxed. It has helped me all along!
Abhinav 1. You can create and destroy world(s), which is a huge, but fun, responsibility.
2. Oh, that blissful feeling of looking at your baby, your story, is incomparable!
3. Also, you know more about yourself more and more when you write.
Abhinav The Kalki Chronicles was conceptualized around six years back, with a simple thought behind it: What if Kalki was really to exist in our world? And what were to happen if the last avatar has already taken birth?
Abhinav Be a storyteller first, and then an author. And keep writing, writing, writing! Also, of course, keep reading.
Abhinav I am working on the second installment of The Kalki Chronicles.
