How do you deal with writer’s block?
Debra Salonen If I'm working on a contracted book (as happened in the book I just finished), I try to go deeper into my characters backstory to figure out what I missed. This book is titled, MONTANA REBEL. Note to self: if you call him a rebel, expect him to rebel.

What are you currently working on?
Debra Salonen I'm revamping a series of OOP books that I got my right to. These books sold well and reviewed well in print but never found any traction in digital. (I mean, like a 100 e-copies sold.) So I'm excited about re-branding, updating and sharing this 8-book series set in the Black Hills of South Dakota.

How do you get inspired to write?
Debra Salonen I sit in my chair and do it. Famous advice: you can't edit a blank page. My advice: Write something--even if it's wrong.

Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?
Debra Salonen My son has done some climbing in the Sierra range and I wanted to explore a hero who seemed inclined to take extreme risks. What drives a person to do that?
