(view spoiler)[So you're the creator (or at least one of the creators) of the Protector series! I have to ask, what happened to the series? Is there any chance of revival for it ever since Marvel got involved? (hide spoiler)]
Roland Mann
The series ended with issue #20. The publisher had just launched THE ULTRAVERSE and having two superhero universes was redundant. Since the Ultraverse sold better, the Protectors line was cancelled.
It is part of what Marvel bought, so yes, they own it.
Chance? Yes.
Likelihood? Probably not.

I get inspired by reading. If I read something really good, it makes me want to do better and write better. Of course, if I read something really bad, it encourages me not to make the same mistakes that writer made. The more I read, the more I feel like writing!

I don't believe in writer's block. Oh sure, I believe writers can reach an impasse in a story and get "stuck," but that's not the same as writer's block. I find writer's block to really be "writer's too-lazy to work." The reason is that most writers I know have multiple projects going at once. If they get stuck in one, they put it aside and work on a different one. Generally, the place they were stuck "fixes" itself while they're working on the other thing. If a writer has only ONE story...they're in for a very short writing career.
Other things I do when I find motivation a problem, though, is read, read, read. I find reading things I like inspires me to BIC (BUTT IN CHAIR!).

I don't have patience to sit for 30 minutes not writing in the story. If it's not working, I'll jump to a different one. Always have many stories at different stages. I like to ask writers, "Why do you want to have writers block?" if they are online talking so much about how they have it. Okay, so if they're writing about that - I don't think there is a block. There is just a change in subject matter they are writing about.
