I get an idea, or series of ideas and go with it. No secret or science. I used to carry a spiral notebook with me everywhere I went and write if I was sitting around waiting for a plane or cab. I've switched to digital with my fifth book.

My latest book will be published very soon, I got the idea for it when I researched a Japanese Super Sub and then asked myself what if? While it is set in history, it tweaks it a bit more than my other Historical Fiction novels. HOWEVER recent discoveries prove it is not far off the mark.
