Sometimes I get out of Maker mode and dive into Consumer mode for a while. Eventually, something will reignite the spark of creative flow. Other times, you just need to push through! I've spent many, MANY hours leaning back in my chair staring up into Nothing, mentally combining ideas, groups of words, and/or phrases to see if they're worth pursuing. A lot of them aren't, but it's good to develop that mental muscle memory.

Depends on the word "recent." My first series is a trilogy, and that idea is just an exploration of me as five separate individuals forced to unite as a family for the greater good. My next series will be a stress test for this new family.

I'm deep in the Marketing Madness phase for my debut novel, TEEN JUSTICE: Justice Has a Curfew - Book One. I am halfway through writing the first draft of Book Two and have a full outline of Book Three ready to go.

Sometimes I have a clear picture of what I want to express. Other times, a piece of dialogue or a specific character action will come to me at the most random moment. For the most part, however, I get my best ideas in the shower!

There's no right or wrong answer to anything! Sure, there are consequences to choices in dialogue and subject matter, but the total freedom and safe space of self-exploration is SO worth it!
