My advice would be to start submitting stories and/or articles to online newspapers, magazines, websites, etc. I would also advise them to follow authors on social media and visit their websites for valuable information about having a career in writing. Also read books and never stop learning.

Catherine's Dream is based on a true story about my grandmother who came from Poland in 1921. We always knew she came to America in the Steerage of a ship and went through Ellis Island, but what we didn't know is she orginally came under an arranged marriage where she would end up in a papermill town on the foothills of the Adirondacks and face a circumstance that would tear her world apart.
