Part One inspired it. There is a lady in Book 1 called Joanne. I like the role she played, and I want to explore her story. The idea was with me for a few weeks. Then, I fleshed it out on a piece of paper. I like what I have. So, I'm giving it a shot.

There are a lot of things. I can't pick one thing. For instance, The Devil's ex-fiancee was inspired by how it's hard to see a black woman at the center of some thrillers. (I agree that I might be one who doesn't read widely enough.) But I just want to write a black woman and put her into the center of action. So far, I'm proud. And yes, I get inspired by a lot of things. Random people, conversations, and historical records. A lot of things.
