Cutter Hays I dont get writers block. In the past, if I did, I wrote any weird, out there, uncensored thing I wanted - knowing nobody would read it - until it went away, but thats rarely happened. If a story inspires you, writing is fun. If it isnt fun, if you dont love it, Id suggest finding something that you do. After all, if you have to push the issue and hate it, why not become a lawyer or something and at least be rich?
Cutter Hays Watching the story unfold, having the privilege to tell it, and talking to fans about it.
Cutter Hays 1. Read Stephen King "On Writing".
2. Dont listen to critics, naysayers, or anybody else unless you respect them as a writer. And even then, if theyre jerks, dont listen.
3. Write. A lot.
4. Read. Only high quality stories.
Cutter Hays Vass #2 graphic novel.
Cutter Hays I usually write what comes to me. I consider myself almost the channeler of the story. I dont plan them. Well, I planned one (of 8) books, but that needs to be rewritten, so I just see the story happening and record what I hear/see/and especially feel.
Cutter Hays My recent book was a graphic novel. Ive been writing it since I was 4 (for real). Its over 4000 pages long, so we'll see how fast I can get it out there, but most of it comes to me in my dreams, or in flashes of inspiration while listening to soundtracks.
