I honestly don't believe in writer's block. Some days the stuff comes, some days it doesn't, but you have to "go to work." Write! It's like working out. Just go do it. Some days will be better than others, but no stories will be told if you don't keep at it. Just sit down and write something...anything.

My whole life has been telling stories. I delivered them as a paperboy when I was a young man; I delivered them as a radio reporter; I delivered them as a musician and songwriter; now I'm fortunate enough to delivery them in books and people seem to find things in those stories that resonant. I can't be more humbled.

I've been in the radio business off and on for more than 30 years. There have been many characters that resemble the ones in Night Radio. It's fiction, yes, but there's a lot of truth between the lines.
