It's totally the dopamine. For me, writing is like play. When things trigger me, I have found myself pushing them away until I have the energy to deal. Writing was my main coping skill when my mom died in 2021. My characters truly bring me comfort. And dopamine. :op

I currently have five projects in various stages. I like to jump around, writing about what I'm feeling sparked by at the moment. All of them are in the Connected by String universe, related to Broken Strings.

I get away from writing for a bit. In my experience, it is very cyclical. Sometimes I can edit when I cannot write, sometimes it's the other way. The important thing is to avoid feeling doom and gloom or false permanence, as it will likely change day by day.
