Fran Heap 1. Write something else! For example start thinking about a different project and work on that until inspiration comes back for the previous project.
2. Go through your notes. I have been collecting notes, ideas, information my whole life. You may find your answer in what to do next that removes the block.
3. Just write the thoughts going through your head. You may be able to use it for something (like a characters inner thoughts) down the track.
4. Do other author jobs likes editing, social media, taxes.
5. Tell yourself you have to clean the house if you don't start writing.
6. Eat junk food or have a cup of tea (or both).
7. Sometimes you just need a day off.
Fran Heap Freedom and fun! You can write whatever you want. I have never been happier in my whole life than I have been since finally starting to write.
Fran Heap Just do it! Follow the idea that you can't edit a blank page. Start writing anything and then go back later to edit.

Fran Heap When I am writing something fun, exciting or interesting I can't help myself. During the writing of my book I would wake up, think 'What am I writing today?' and often bounce out of bed instantly when I remembered what story I was up to. Easy!
Fran Heap I have always wanted to write about my travels but had no idea how to put them into book. And then in a surprise moment one night as falling asleep, I wondered if I had actually been on holiday on every date of the year. From that came "365 Dates of Travel".
