Kimberly Rouse I don't usually push it. I pray. But if nothing is there, there must be a reason. I try to exercise patience. If it doesn't break in a couple of days, then getting with a friend that is a deep thinker or reflecting on life experiences can help to get things flowing again.
Kimberly Rouse For me, I believe it is what I was born to do. I love it. It is very therapeutic for me. I don't feel I have an ability really to write fiction. I'm more of a non-fiction writer.
Kimberly Rouse Just start writing. Your first draft does not have to have details or organization. It just has to have content. Without your first draft, it is impossible for most people to have a final draft.
Kimberly Rouse Currently I am contemplating an idea for another autobiography from Age 47 that details mine and my husband's marriage. I am not currently working on a book right now, but am always journaling, for the day that I do. I have many books that I would like to write, mostly that focus on helping people emotionally and drawing them closer to the Lord.
Kimberly Rouse I have wanted to write the story of my life from the age of 13. I started this book many times from age 13 to age 46. In 2016, at 46 years old, I went through a very dark time emotionally and started seeing a counsellor. He had a book on his shelf called "Life Beyond Trauma", I think. This book gave me practical advice on how to overcome writing the hard parts of my story. By just simply going outside and letting the sun hit my face and intentionally reminding myself that I was safe, I was able to go in and write again. I finished the final draft and got it sent to by publicist the day before my 48th birthday.
Kimberly Rouse This book chronicles the first 47 years of my life. Telling my story of how one tragic event that happened when I was 7 catapulted me into 40 years of trauma. In addition to telling of many of the traumas I endured, it also tells of how I overcame came many of them and healed from the emotional affects they had on me. My story will leave the reader filled with hope for their own life story.
