Hello Eva I enjoyed your book very much and I understand that you have written based on your own experiences. Did you find that this was a useful way to process what you had been through?
Eva Asprakis Parts of the story were indeed true to my own experiences, particularly around PCOS and pregnancy loss. Other elements were fictionalised for the sake of a compelling narrative, but even writing those was helpful because I felt so connected to Androulla. We puzzled a great deal out together.

Hey Eva, Read Thirty-Eight Days of Rain and really enjoyed it. In such an emotional book, I wanted to ask what the hardest part was to write? I can imagine some scenes may have been difficult to capture in words. Thanks!
Eva Asprakis The final part of the book, from 'February' onwards, was excruciating to write. I had stormed through the rest of it, but found myself reliving my own pregnancy loss via Androulla's and became quite unwell as a consequence. Having said that, it was a cathartic process and one that I think was helpful in the long run.
