Listening to the song 'Bouwt ip mie' by 'Het zesde metaal'. I wanted to write a story about families and the secrets they keep for ages. But I didn't find the right tone of voice. Till I heard that song and how it shows compassion and tells to be gentle, to others and yourself. Then I knew how I had to write 'Merg'.

By making time to get inspired. I don't get inspiration if I am too stressed out, have a to do list that is far too long or a thousand things I have to worry about. So I have learned to create time to get inspired. I go for a run every two days. I use a bullet journal. I make time to read. I claim time (like 5 minutes every day, after the morning rush) to do absolutely nothing and don't feel guilty about it.
