George A. Bernstein While doing research for my 2nd novel, A 3rd TIME TO DIE, I participated in Past Life Regression sessions, which, by the way, were real eye-openers for me. In the oldest "life" I discovered, I was a young Polynesian chief about 1000 years ago (only 1 of 2 times I was ever anyone important out of 9 "existences"). I'd like to go back there and save my wife, Aki, from the tiger shark that killed her. Prior to that tragedy it had been an idyllic existance.
George A. Bernstein I too busy working on the release of my 3rd Detective Al Warner suspense and in the midst of writing the 4th of the series to do much reading, but I'm trying to finish the old Robert Ludlum novel, "The Scorpio Illusion." I loved his Jason Borne novels, but dislike von Ludbaders follow-up versions - too many characters and just not the same.
George A. Bernstein I rarely have it. I just sit down, think of where to start, and suddenly, it's 3 hours later, and I've written 20 or 30 pages
George A. Bernstein Attend some writers conferences and seminars, with many classes on what makes good writing, and advise on everything to do with writing. Even naturally talented writers can learn a lot about techniques to set you work above the rest. And then hire a good "Content editor" to review your work. Even the very top authors get outside advise on their work. Only bother with all this is you want to be a professional
George A. Bernstein Preparing my 3rd novel for publishing, probably in November. "Death's Angel" is the first of my new Detective Al Warner series. He's Miami's top homicide detective, recovering from a near-deadly shootout with a serial killer, that has caused terrifying nightmares & sleepless nights. This impacts his efforts while trying to track down a new, elusive serial killer
George A. Bernstein Just because I enjoy telling stories. My wife usually comes up with ideas, and I take it from there Once the story begins unfolding, the characters seem to "take over," often steering me into "uncharted waters."
George A. Bernstein A 3rd TIME TO DIE is a romantic paranormal romance about past lives, and how they affect us now. I thought of doing a novel on the subject after reading "Many Lives, Many Masters." Using horses and open jumping seemed perfect, as my wife rode a champuion jumper years ago, and it's a sport attractive to even non-equestrians.
