Hi William. The Strays series will feature Shiloh and some of the other paras you meet in Freak House. It's a series I've been working on for several years, and it's finally with my agent for submission. In my head the series will be at least four books long, some following Shiloh on her adventures, and others following Will on his journey. Hopefully you can expect at least the first book in the next year or so. Thanks for the question! -Kelly

To be honest, I don't know. The MetaWars books did not sell well at all, but you're right, there is still some story left to tell. If I do anything to wrap up the Trance/Gage crisis, it will most likely happen as a shorter novella. I wish I could give you a better answer than that.

It is in book form, as ebooks are books, so I am assuming you mean out in paperback? If so that is yet to be determined.

Hi Faye. Unfortunately no. Not without some kind of massive jump in sales for the series. Books three and four were only published digitally by Pocket because sales for the first two were so poor. Three and four sold even lower, which is why the series was cancelled. Sorry, but until I get my rights back and perhaps am able to republish in the distant future, Tempest and Chimera are e-only.

Hi J.A. Yes, there are plans. There has even been an offer from a certain Amazon owned audiobook company. However, negotiating contract terms between them and my agency has been ongoing and very slow moving. Keep your fingers crossed for some news soon!

Hello! It's absolutely okay to ask me a Kelly Meade question here. I'm glad to hear you enjoyed Black Rook! Re: the names, it's something that I know but I kind of forgot to include it into the first book. It's not really a big secret, just that their mother loved to play chess in her spare time and she kind of liked the play on her married name. :)

I was at an auction in Pennsylvania with my dad a few years ago, and we watch horror movies together. I remember thinking once that it would be cool if we found out werewolves ran the auction, instead of humans. That idea became the center of BLACK ROOK. The heroes' family owns an auction house, and it's what brings outside business into their small town.

I don't like the term writer's block, and I don't really believe in it. Do I get stuck on a project and need to walk away for a while? Sure. It happens. I'll do housework, or I'll fiddle with a different project (which is why I think it's helpful to always have more than one idea in progress).
