i love all of your books and i've binged them over the last month. of your characters, alex and mal appear, even briefly, in the most storylines. i'm dying to know what this couple means to you. are they (fictitious?) personifications of you and your husband? a pair of your best friends? manifestations of childhood dogs? or do they just hold a special place because they were the first of the cold justice series? thx!
Toni Anderson Great question! Although Alex and Mallory are purely fictitious, they also feel dear and familiar to me. I love hanging out with them.

Hi Toni, I have just discovered your books thanks to an Amazon rec. Absolutely loved Dominic and Ava story. I love a bit of age gap in my books and you have a huge catalogue. Are there any other books in your series with an age gap? I will read all your books regardless, you are a fab writer! Thanks for answering.

Hello ma'am, I was just wondering who the next story will be about in Cold Fury? I cannot believe I have to wait until May 2024 for the new one, I found the Cold Justice series a few weeks ago and have just devoured all of them. I may have to reread them a few more times to pass the time until the next one.

Hello Mrs. Anderson, I am a fan of your cold justice series (already read all of them), and I am kind of wondering are you going to continue the series or switch all your writing into crossover series? and by the way, because of COVID 19 spreading, how are you going to research for your new book?
Toni Anderson The crossover series is pretty much the same thing as the original Cold Justice series. I just started the numbers from 1 again.

Research is harder. A lot of online stuff for now :(

I'm an aspiring writer, but I'm dealing with two things: I get discouraged every single day because 96% of manuscripts are rejected, and I haven't had an idea for years, literally. There's too many people wanting to be writers, and knowing there's so much competition just kills me a little every day. When I get motivated, immediatly something appears about the industry that kills it. Any tips on how to deal with this?
Toni Anderson Just saw this. Sorry. I think the worst thing you can do is think about the state of the market and how hard it is to become a successful author. Truth is, it took me fifteen years of CONSTANT work. As in sitting down and writing every day for fifteen years without any real financial success or any promise of it. I think the one thing you can control is the story you tell. Make it as good as you can make it and then look at all the different ways of getting it out to readers. Write for the joy of writing and then worry about selling it. Not the other way around.

I think a great conclusion to the Cold Justice series would be a story that combined all the main characters for a mission. Lots of suspense but also I would love to see more interaction between the couples. See interaction like at a social gathering, firming up friendships of the women. See them becoming a family, is this possible? xoxo

From the moment I picked up A Cold Dark Place, I was sucked in, transfixed and submerged into your world, devouring each book with ferocity. I could not get enough of them!! Thank you so much for giving these gems to us. I checked, is it right you have 2 more Cold Justice books coming out this year?
Toni Anderson Yes, I have two planned for this year--fingers crossed as I have a lot going on. And after these two there will be more but I might write something different as well. And thanks, Sue :) Lovely message. Wish I'd seen it earlier.
