I don't know. The story comes or it doesn't. I get a lot of ideas, but I only set down the ones that hang with me for a while. I guess that's the inspiration. I often call it "pestering."

I've always been interested in reading, so the issue of illiteracy is a concern for me. I can't imagine not being able to read and read well, so I wanted to create a character who was shackled by poor vision and near-illiteracy to find out how that would be. Then I needed to fix his problem.
