I just finished Must Love Dogs and Hockey, I wondered how you knew so much about the Humboldt accident and just found out you are from Winnipeg? I am so proud you are a Canadian writing these fine books. Hurrah for Kelly.
Kelly Jamieson Thank you! I've been a huge hockey fan my whole life and that Humboldt accident was so deeply tragic. And yes, I'm from Winnipeg! #GoJetsGo

Kelly Jamieson Hi Clara! I do hope to write Mark and Tori's story! I'm not sure when, though. There are a couple of other Wynns I'd also like to write about - so stay tuned! And I'm glad you enjoyed the book, thank you!

Hi Kelly! First of all, I love your writing... I started with your more recent novels (which I loved), but I just finished reading your Brew Crew books, and was wondering if you plan to release more books in this series. The first two were awesome! Are you planning on writing about the other characters?

Thank you so much! I love those Brew Crew books. It was intended to be a 3 book series, but the publisher I originally published them with went out of business. I got the rights back, so I could write the third one now, but I'm all tied up in contracts with a new publisher. But never say never...I may get to it one day.

Where oh where can I find Three of Hearts?

Hi Kelly, I loved Dancing in the Rain, it has become my favourite book you've written so far. Where did the idea come from & do see yourself writing another one similar to it in the near future?
Kelly Jamieson Hi Christina! The Author Note in Dancing in the Rain basically explains where the idea came from. It was actually my agent and my editor who'd been talking and suggested I write about a retired hockey player. And maybe a secret baby story. And I was all nah, I don't think so....but then I started thinking about Drew and I had to write his story. Only I didn't want it to be the usual secret baby, because these days it's hard to imagine why a woman would keep a child a secret from the father. But in this case there was a good reason. At first I thought the story would start after Sarah's death, but when I started writing it, that wasn't how it went.

I have an idea for a couple of spin off books involving Peyton's new business that I'm mulling over...nothing definite yet...

Hey Kelly... I loved that Marc in Major Misconduct was a French-Canadian. Hell... I loved everything about him, but I digress! LOL It seems like FC heros are hard to come by in romance novels. Would you ever consider writing about another one?
Kelly Jamieson HI Shawnee! Yes I absolutely will! There are lots of hockey players from Quebec. On the Aces team, Julien Boucher is French Canadian -- he's only had a small role so far, but he may get his story one day! Or there may be other French Canadian players who join the team through drafts or trades.

Hi Kelly! I just finished reading Top Shelf and while the main story was great, I was pulled in even more by what happened with Hallsy and his wife. Will Hallsy get his own book in the future? Thanks!

And yes, Hallsy gets his story, I'm actually writing it right now! Just finishing up. The book is Slap Shot and it will be out in October.

Hi Kelly, I just finished Shut Out. I got it as an ARC from Net Galley & I have to say that that book was amazing. I was wondering if the other books in this series are going to be as hard hitting & serious as this one? I loved it, I had a hard time putting it down.
Kelly Jamieson Hi Christina! Thank you, I'm so glad you enjoyed Shut Out. I'm writing book 2 right now which is Ella's story...so she definitely has some issues she needs to work through. I *hope* it's similar to Shut Out. ☺

This is a lost cause, I know it. I'm looking for a copy of, "Dream Girl"? Can't find it anywhere. How about an electronic version. Whilst in Australia with my business mate, we were enjoying our third Morgan's Revenge, when we started work on a sky, WWII, mystery starting in Toronto, Canada, then San Francisco, and ending in Thursday Island, Australia via Melbourne. Germans, Japanese, two guys, one girl.

Kelly Jamieson Hi Gissie! I don't have any more San Amaro stories in the works right now, but I would definitely like to go back there! I love San Amaro! And I did have a story for Neve in my head...so it could happen, I'm just so busy I'm not sure when! Thanks for asking!

Hi Kelly - I just finished Off Limits and am really starting to get into the series! I saw that Duncan's book is up next as book 2. Any chance we'll see Lovey's friend, Jillian, in a future book... perhaps with Duncan?
Kelly Jamieson Duncan's book is up next - Icing. However he does not get together with Jillian. :-) After Top Shelf (Jared's story - out November next year) I have three more Aces books to write, so it may be possible that Jillian may appear in a future book!

Hi Kelly, Love your books and I think my favourite will always be Lost and Found! Question: will there be any more San Amaro books? I quite enjoyed those.
Kelly Jamieson Hi Tami! Thank you so much! Lost and Found is one of my personal favourites too, so glad to hear you like it. As for San Amaro books - I don't have anything in the works at the moment, but I would definitely like to go back to San Amaro. :-) I'd really like to do more stories there with some of the secondary characters in the books - perhaps a female surfer. So stay tuned, it could happen!

Is There a boxset of Heller Brothers 1-4?
Kelly Jamieson Hi Medusa! No, I'm sorry, there isn't a boxed set. My publisher has books 1- 3 and who knows, they might do a set of those. Books 4 & 5 I published myself, so I can't put them all together. Right now, anyway. :/

I just finished Three of Hearts, and I really loved it. Where do you find inspiration for that book?
Kelly Jamieson Hi Marie! So glad you enjoyed Three of Hearts! I was asked to write a menage story for Riptide Publishing. I'd been wanting to do a story about musicians, but it seemed there were a lot of rock star books so I though about a country music book. Country music trios like Sugarland and Lady Antebellum came to mind and I thought...what if...the three musicians in the band were actually all in love with each other...and that was how I got Three of Hearts. Have you been to all the places in Chicago that you describe in the books?
Kelly Jamieson Hi Jennifer! Great timing on this question, I was actually in Chicago when you posted this. I was visiting some of the places I talk about in my books, but sadly, I still have not been to ALL of them. For example, I wanted to visit Wrigley Field, but the Cubs were away while we were there. I did go see the White Sox play at US Cellular field. I visited other places and did as much "research" as I could - neighborhoods where characters live, Oak Street Beach...some of what I put into books is based on real places but is also partly invented by me. :-)

Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?
Kelly Jamieson Well, other than my hockey series, the last book I completed was a menage story and I got they idea from an advice column. I get a LOT of ideas from advice columns!

How do you get inspired to write?
Kelly Jamieson I don't know if I get "inspired". I just love doing it. When a great story idea comes to me, I get excited. When I plan out a story and it all works, it energizes me and I'm eager to write it.

What are you currently working on?
Kelly Jamieson Right now I'm working on the third book in my second hockey romance series - Chicago Aces book 3. I hope to have all 3 finished and released by the end of 2014 (ack!). These hockey heroes are team mates on the Chicago Aces hockey team.
