I think what makes a good story,is a story told from the heart. There is no formula.
Characters that stay with you, even after the book is done, I feel is very important to a story. A slick plot is another good to have feature.
Janaki Murali i put my work aside without guilt and do something else, Mainly I read and go out and do something, like seeing a play or meet friends. Then if the block persists, I write something else like a short story and then come back to it.
Janaki Murali It gives me the freedom to dream, fantasize and live in worlds inhaibited by my characters.
