Phyllis Zimbler Miller As I have already mentioned, the story of THE MOTHER SIEGE came in a dream. When I first had the dream, I was surprised that I remembered it in the morning because I usually cannot remember my dreams. But I had no intention of writing a dystopian story. Then I had the dream a second time -- it would not leave me alone. I gave up and started writing the story, and the more I wrote the more interested I became in it.
