All good, Andrew, and THANK YOU for the Goodreads review. I certainly appreciate it here because most are posted on Amazon, so this is a great help. Happy to see you enjoyed the story! Wishing you all the best in your epic book series; your writings look like a wild mix of sci-fi and fantasy.

Hi Rick, sorry I'm so late seeing this question. Goodreads tends to hide these and not send a notice. I don't have a secret to marketing, I'm neither rich nor a best-seller on any lists, but I have used author-to-reader connection services like Pubby. This is a slow way to reach readers, but effective, inexpensive, and is the best solution I have found so far.

I get this question a lot as I'm sure many authors do. I like writing, so I wouldn't use a.i. to take away the creative part I like. Since I cannot illustrate, I have used a.i. art to composite book covers and I use one to check my book description to see if it's engaging or a good summary. MS Word and Grammarly check my grammar, maybe rephrase for disambiguation sometimes, but not to change tone. As far as reading, stories written by a.i. still sound weird, wordy, and shallow, but the technology may fix this in the near future. I abbreviate a.i. for artificial intelligence because it is not a proper noun and as an acronym looks like the name Al as in Al Yankovic, Al Pacino, and Al Roker.

Hi Dr. Jasmine! Great question and is a resounding "yes."
Sophizo was all the notes I had about parenting and personal development with God that I brought together into a book for my daughter and niece, but was surprised to see a positive reception from more readers regarding faith.
For fiction works, the gospel message gives the book purpose, whereas the rest of the book is for entertainment. My hope is a person comes for the show, but leaves with The Message. As Jesus says, "Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will not pass away." Matthew 24:35
I pray while writing the book, after its release, and for everyone who read them so they may come to know God as well (if they do not already) and that nothing I write would lead anyone astray. All the best and blessings be!

2025: Spear of God which is a fantasy by Curtis Martin, Lilith Fletcher and the Threads of Fate which is a mythology adventure, Emotions Of A Dark Horse by Neil Benson, some comic series I've started, and whatever books that are lying around. Plenty to write, so reading is slow-going.

Sophizo, next revision in process: https://a.co/d/5pR8Rbx . Self-editing is a special kind of torture, by the way. If you have the money, well worth paying someone else to edit. Overall, organization is a LOT better than initial release. Sentence structure is still a little clunky and too many pronouns. Should be mostly ready for print within the next month.
Specks of Shadows, Flecks of Light. This vella is on Amazon though a little tougher to find: https://www.amazon.com/kindle-vella/s... . Having a lot of fun transcribing and experience episodes (wording there is intentional). Wholly gratuitous, I am certainly okay if I am the only fan.
X (Captain Ruik's Adventure) is pretty much done (until someone finds any error), but many people have no idea that it exists at Amazon: https://a.co/d/eRlZkG5 . I think it is perfectly acceptable to not care, but not knowing is on me.
Longer term objectives:
Fifty Tales of Derek Barley. First couple chapters written I think, it has been a long time since I looked at it
Spy Network Affiliate Federal Unit, comedy. I had to rename because as it sat on the shelf, a number of articles called The Lives and Lives of Spies came out, but am digging the newer title. Pivoting can be a good thing.
Possible compendium for X (Captain Ruik's Adventure). This would go into more background and detail for characters of the original.
Possible series continuation of X (Captain Ruik's Adventure). First chapter or two already in mind along with a general direction. Jacq and Sheska are front and center, not sure if there is any interest in the project and would likely be a 2024 thing unless pushed for a priority shift.

Stop trying to "create" or "make things happen". Sit back and observe mentally what is happening, record what I see. Scrap anything that is not working. Walk away for as long as it takes until the story makes sense. Easy to do since writing is an activity for enjoyment rather than occupation.

As she walked away towards her college dorm, he had a sinking feeling that this would be the last day his daughter would want to have anything to do with him. His wife turned to reveal, "She's starting her new life, it's time I start mine, I want a divorce."

Sounds like a 'memo to myself' sort of question. I would remind myself that any project/work worth doing will take time, I need to learn from mistakes, push towards progress (be disciplined), and know that the final product will be worth it. There's a gambit of emotions along the way, but hold to the positive thoughts and ignore the negative ones if the negatives are holding up progress.

I don't read a lot, not nearly as much as I should, usually because the author is going directions I don't want to go or detailing minutia when I'm more interested in other events. So with X (Captain Ruik's Adventure), I was looking to create a story I wanted to read but one that left sufficient imagination for the reader to fill in the blanks.

Visualization of the story, connecting the imaginary with reality through writing, and then reading the final version of what was written. An incredible bonus is having the physical copy in hand, imagination becomes reality!
