There are a wide variety of activities that writers and authors have tried to get out of writer's block. Some will work for you, and some will not. Personally, the easiest thing I have found is to sit in front of my computer and start typing doesn't matter what. Watch your brain connects the fact that you are creating words on paper your muse should follow behind. If nothing else you may have just cleared out your brain of all the weird stuff running around so the next time you sit down you will be cleared and ready to create.

For me, the best thing about being a writer, is creating stories that I would like to read. And hopefully other people will also enjoy as well.

The simplest and also the hardest advice I could give aspiring writers would be to sit down write one complete story and connect with an editor. Once you've done at least that much the rest of it will come a little bit easier.

I am currently working on completing the ending to Bloody Murder at the Blanche Hotel. I've already started a prequel called Dastardly Deeds at the Dearborn Theater that I started during NaNoWriMo in 2022. There are two other books in the series that I have outlined and hope to have completed before the end of 2023. These are all serialized fiction available on Kindle Vella.

Inspiration to write is all around us. I can get inspired by watching people at the beach interacting with one another. While exploring historical sites your brain just naturally goes to: what happened here? Who lived here? What would it have been like to live in this area during its heyday? Most writers feel compelled to create stories.

The series called the Misadventures of Janie and Diane was born from doing biographical and historical research on a local hotel called the Blanche in Lake City Florida. Being unable to pursue more research due to COVID, various family members being sick, money problems etc. All the information I gathered sparked off the idea for the series.

I dragged myself out of bed stumbling across furniture as I tried to make my way to the kitchen. When opening the cabinet I found an empty coffee can.

Now this is a great question. If there's any fictional world that I could travel to it would probably be the world of Pern. Created by Anne McCaffrey. The place has all kinds of cool things including Dragons. I would want to be a dragon rider.
