M.A. Savino I already wrote about this in my book, The Unnerving. It is about 50% true story and 50% fiction. I still am unsure whether the voice I heard in my room was Jamie's or a different ghost altogether.
M.A. Savino Depends on which book you are talking about. If you are talking about book two of the Sidero series, The Carpenter’s Chameleon, the psycho local aspect comes from my tendency to mirror behavior of those around me which, I didn’t know until recently was an actual disorder. If I’m around criminals I become one, if I’m dressed up a certain way it effects how I act and behave. Now, if we are talking about the book, The Unnerving, the book is based partly on truth as everything I wrote does. When I was in high school, I did in fact date a boy from the other side of the tracks, he did get me a note with cigarette burns in it when we broke up and he did get killed a few years later.
M.A. Savino Sharing bits and pieces of my darkness with the work while therapeutically ridding my head of all its noise.
M.A. Savino Don’t wait. Do it now. If tried so many things in my life and failed. Who knows maybe I’ll even fail to become famous, but it does not matter to me. I’m doing what I enjoy and you should too. Take a chance and do what you love. I wish I had started a long time ago.
M.A. Savino Well, that’s a loaded question. I have book 3 of the Sidero series sitting in a file folder that needs to be edited. In addition, a chapter came to me for a fourth book in the Sidero series, so that has one chapter. Other current projects are a serial killer story, three chapters written thus far, called The Tableware. The other story is called, The Prickling which is a physiological mystery thriller.
M.A. Savino I had a recurring dream that would not go away. It came to me every night and every night I tried to force myself into thinking about something else, but it just was not working. I decided to turn it into a book and now it’s gone. No more reoccurring dream.
M.A. Savino When I have writers block, I stop working on one book, and go on to the next. The other option is to take some time away from writing all together. I keep my phone with me so if sudden inspiration strikes, I can type it quickly in my notebook before it disappears in the abyss of my ADHD brain.
