Hi. Thanks for the comments. I never thought to work for other authors, but the tool I used is quite easy if you want to try it. They have a free version you could play with to see if it works for you. If you want to use their better content and not have watermarks, the subscription price is reasonable. I used flexclip.com

Following current events and worries for the future of our environment along with the ingenious and equally outrageous ideas for solving those started me thinking. That process led to imagining the lives of people who were generations into living in a colony on a planet not able to support human life with hopes of terraforming one day opening the door to the world outside. What would their daily lives look like and what challenges could they face? I started typing those musings, which formed themselves into a story.

Maybe I'm too new at this to have experienced it, yet. Thus far I am working off an outline for a trilogy and found that I'm only loosing ability to summon words to describe the next scene at around 2am when the weary mind is blurred and loses its last traces of lucidity. I find the outline a tremendous help to keep my momentum going without hitting any creativity walls.

I find great joy in bringing characters to life, doing so in interesting settings with exciting stories. As a writer I can become so intimately familiar with the characters that I become fond of them. The depth of personality imagined, a touch of which is written, is truly fascinating to me.

Colony’s Fall, Book Two of the trilogy, is in the final editing stages and I am preparing an audiobook for Book One. After completing the outline, the first few chapters of Book Three have been written as a first draft and I am continuing to unfold it into the final chapter of the story.

Following people, mostly the filthy rich, talking about and planning colonization of Mars got me thinking. I started imagining what life might be like for people born in a colony a few generations in when the terraforming had not yet made it possible to go outside. What would their everyday lives be like and what issues would they face, socially and politically?
Images of people going about their daily activities came to me, then what might cause some to become disgruntled, challenging the status quo. Characters and a story formed from there.
