Steve Murphy Deadlines are an awesome motivator. Having a writing partner that can hold you accountable - sort of like a workout partner - is a good way to help focus on current projects. We like to head out to our favorite watering hole - make sure they have an electrical outlet - find an out of the way spot and start writing. The staff is usually very supportive, especially during this time and are happy to have you. Enjoy a few appetizers and some adult beverages; then see what you can create.

Steve Murphy Having multiple projects at any one time. If you get stuck on one of them - simply move on to the next. You will be surprised how this will clear your head and open your creative process. Be sure to prioritize projects however, otherwise you may never get any of them done. We usually have one main book or script in the works with several others in the wings.
