It was a night like every other as she sat at her desk clicking away on her vinage Hermes typewriter. She wasn't quite certain what her next sentence would be and although she was not a fan of horrors, she was in a knee deep description of an exorcism when suddenly the keys started moving on their own ...typing a dire warning as she watched frozen with fear.

I would defenitely follow Goldie Locks and the three bears ! I would love to try out all kinds of things without a plan just like Goldie did eating the porridge and trying out the beds. I would try out different nursing jobs and if they didn't fit my personality or lifestyle, I would move on to the next....easy peasy!

I was born in Czechoslovakia in 1966, during communiusm and at the time the secret police StB were know for following and surveilling it's citizens and although I was only two years old, my dad was vocal about the communist regime and vehemently against it. Years later , after the velvet Revolution, the StB was abolished and their documentation and surveillance was made public. I have unearthed some of the documentation and was named along with my family as "persons of interest" and awaiting the burned CD with the 270 pages of secret police files from those brutal times.

As I said earlier on, I follow a routine. No matter what , I go to my favorite room ...designated for writing every single night and just start and although I may not have anything at the moment, I start typing and it always comes to me . Sure, the first few minutes may be rough and I do tend to correct or deleate a paragraph or two but after that, it is usually smooth sailing!

Hand down! releasing your mind of the stories and ideas that have been there for years. Mind you, I am 56 yrs old and I have a lot to release lol!

I would suggest that you adhere to a routine, even when your not in the mood to write...start typing and before you know it you will be in the throughs of your creative mission. Mind you , you may have to delete a line or two which is no big deal because sometime it takes a bit to get past the rough start and on to a tsunami of words.

Currently, I am working on a book of a completely different genre. I have recently obtained archived documents from my birth country of Czechoslovakia on my father's expriences with the StB (secret police) and his life as a political prisoner and growing up in a world of terror during the Natzi regime. The book takes a few twists and turns as it is mainly a biography but ultimately, it is a daughter's (my) completion of his journey to find him peace after his passing. The book entitled "Jarek" an assasination of the mind and soul" Surviving Natzi Germany and Communist Rule- A daughter's journey to bring him justice and Peace- The book will be available in January 2023

To tell you the truth, I've always been pretty good at speeches and writing articles and editorials, I love words and expression. I'm pretty sure that my coping mechanisms are intact and benefit me because I tend to express myself...whether vocally or in writings.

I've been writing the book for twenty-four years now, if you can believe it! Through me nursing career, there were so many intimate moments in people's lives that just permiated my being and I knew that I had to share them sometime in the future in order to give others courage and strengh to either keep fighting or retain dignity until their last breath.
