Hi Sejoud! I've just finished writing my next book, which will come out in 2020 -- it's not another Incorrigible Children book, but something new. I'll announce the title and pub date very soon!
Book 6, THE LONG-LOST HOME, is the last book in the Incorrigible Children series for now -- it's coming out in a paperback edition in August, and is available to pre-order.
For new Incorrigible content, make sure you're subscribed to my email list. I'm sending readers a weekly "Saying of Agatha Swanburne" with commentary and fun discussion questions. More content to come! Sign up at my website, it's www.maryrosewood.com

Christina, I always read aloud when writing! I'm glad you noticed that quality in the books. I started my career in the theatre as an actor and I love creating characters that feel truly "alive" on the page. Thank you so much for your kind words. Happy reading and loveawoo to you! xoxo

(view spoiler)[I just listened to the afterward/acknowledgements and I would like to withdraw my previous question regarding the narrator of "The Long-Lost Home," and I would like to express my condolences to you and Katherine's friends and family. (Apparently this needs a question mark to be sent to you?) (hide spoiler)]

Caroline, thank you so much, that is very kind of you. Katy is much missed by by those who loved her in life and those who loved her as the superb storyteller she was. I am grateful we have so many of her recordings to enjoy. Loveawoo to you! xoxo

Luna (I LOVE YOUR NAME), I would love to write more about Penelope and Simon someday. I imagine they have many adventures yet to come!
As for character development, I assume you mean in fiction, yes? Or personally? :) Either way, character is revealed through the choices we make, the way we treat others, and how we conduct ourselves in a pinch! It's in the doing that character grows and is revealed. Loveawoo to you! xo

Eliana, thank you for this lovely comment! I'm so glad you enjoy the books. I'm already working on my next book, which is not about the Incorrigibles but will have both human and animal characters, so you can expect some occasional woofing, at least. In the future I would love to write more stories set in Miss Lumley's world. Optoomuchstic? I hope not!
Maryrose Wood
I actually don't know the answer to this, Caroline. I hope so! I think a boxed set of the series would be adorable. I will share that info as soon as my publisher decides.

Well, I do have a dog! She's a pretty good source of wolflike behaviors, if I pay close attention.

(view spoiler)[I recently played Miss Mortimer in our school play. I was wondering if you could tell me what you pictured her like when you first wrote the series? Can't wait for the next book! (hide spoiler)]
Maryrose Wood
She's described in the books as having very good posture and a neat bun at the nape of her neck. If you have a picture of yourself in costume you can send it to me on Twitter, @maryrose_wood. I bet you looked great!

It will be published on December 19th! I can't wait for you to read it. :)

Oh, that's unfortunate. I hope you returned it to Amazon!

What a wonderful howler you are! Thank you for the fantastic youtube review June, I loved watching it. Good job on the iambic pentameter, too. ;)
At present I've just started the new George Saunders novel, Lincoln in the Bardo. Fascinating so far!

Hi Ava! I would love to write more about these characters. Book 6 is called The Long-Lost Home, and it comes out in December. It will bring the events of the series to a thrilling conclusion, or at least that's what I'm intending! :)

Katy is wonderful, I agree! We've become good chums and I like making up weird sounds knowing that she'll have to figure out how to perform them. Inaudible rabbit noises and angry ostrich calls fall into this category. :)
