Yes, we asked this question and are answering it ourselves. We've seen some confusion about the answers post on earlier questions here on Goodreads and wanted to explain. Yes, we're two authors writing under a singular pen name. We're friends who have been writing together for years actually. But when we were originally signed on with our publisher we were under a 'closed pseudonym' meaning we couldn't reveal who we were or even that there was two of us. So those answers to previous questions were when we were having to pretend that Katherine Greene was one person. But once our debut was released we were permitted to share not only that we were, in fact, two people, but who we really are. Hope that explains it.

The idea for THE WOODS ARE WAITING was inspired by the tight-knit community A. Meredith grew up in Appalachia. Her grandmother lived by her superstitions. She would tell her to lift my feet when going over railroad tracks and hold her breath when driving by a graveyard. A's childhood home had a horseshoe above the entrance. We wanted to take these rather benign things that she grew up with and turn them dark and scary. We figured it was an interesting story to tell.

We just finished my second thriller. It's got twists and turns and lots of suspects- our favorite type of story!!!
