I don't wait for inspiration. I sit down and start where I am. Often by describing where I am, what is in the room, what I am feeling. If I wait for 'inspiration' I procrastinate and that puts the pressure on to write something 'great.' I start small.

Pen to paper every day. Even for five minutes. It's a practise and every word adds up to a greater work. It helps me most when I start out small otherwise I get overwhelmed. Simply showing up is huge.
