It is hard to remember specifically how it came about, but it was the marriage of two ideas really. The plot line came from an idea I had wanted to see play out in a book but hadn't seen before, and the magic system came after listening in on another author's online tutorials on how to develop a magic system.

I'm currently focused primarily on the announcement of my first novel, Dual Fires. From there, I'll be excited to start on the sequel!
