How do you deal with writer’s block?

David Farrell It doesn't exist.
I sit down every day and write at least a paragraph.
If the creativity flows, I continue to write.
If it doesnt I turn to other aspects of writing.

What are you currently working on?

David Farrell My debut The Chameleon has just been released so now I'm focussing on my next novel. I have a few works in progress but all are interrelated to some degree yet are standalones.

What’s your advice for aspiring writers?

David Farrell Write for yourself. There are no silver bullets to writing other than hard work. Perservere.

What’s the best thing about being a writer?

David Farrell It is rewarding on so many levels. Finding the right word. Forming the perfect sentence. Chapters that work. A novel which works. Being creative.

How do you get inspired to write?

David Farrell I believe every author is different. For me, I don’t force the process. There is so much more to the craft than putting sentences together. I write at every opportunity - daily. Whether that is research, writing, editing, marketing, connecting with readers. I find it cathartic. That is my inspiration.
