How do you get inspired to write?

Shonel Jackson From everything around me, the people, situations, nature, everything. Sometimes scenes play out in my mind like a move strip. Then I try to get them down on paper as quickly as I can before it disappears.

Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?

Shonel Jackson I used to train in the Brazilian martial art called Capoeira. So I've create a three book contemporary romance series centred in that world. Book 2, Playing With Fire, in on pre-order right now on Amazon. It comes out on December 5th, 2022. I'm working on Book 3 at the moment.

Shonel Jackson I cautiously opened the gift book. Not only were the shoes inside sparkly, they were also bright PINK! 😳

What mystery in your own life could be a plot for a book?

Shonel Jackson Six or seven years I received an unsigned card in the mail. It said, an I paraphrase, "...makes enemies, let's be friends". Something like that. To this day, I still have no idea who sent it! 🤷🏾‍♀️
