The escape. Writing is a mental stress reliever for me. Better than working out, better than a nice glass of wine, better than flying, better than that first cup of coffee on a cold morning.

Well, it wouldn't be Ojult for sure.
I'm fascinated by the world(s) that BV Larson created in his Undying Mercenaries series. The creation is simple but very unique.
Other than Undying Mercenaries, I think the worlds created by George Lucas in Star Wars are incredible.

I'm currently reading three books this summer. The first is the Bible... yeah, that's going to take some time. Never read it before.
The second is the Eden Chronicles by S.M. Anderson. I generally don't like politically motivated books, but this one has an Atlas Shrugged meets TimeCop feel. I finished book 1, and now onto book 2.
The last one is Final Notice by Fleisher. I literally just started this one last night. It was recommended by OnlineBookClub.
I finished NightLord by Whited last month. This was a long read but worth it.

In my experience, the most difficult aspect of writing is getting started. Do you write a summary first? Chapter outlines? Figure out your character development strategy?
Everyone will have differing opinions here. My advice... just start writing. This is the advice that one of my favorite authors gave me. Hope it works for you!

Before I wrote Mystics of Fortune, I outlined the entire series. Right now, I'm flipping between polishing the overall series and completing the chapter outline for book 2. With any luck, I should begin writing the second book in May.

Great question. One of my favorite authors, Aleron Kong, was the inspiration behind this journey. During one of his Q&A videos, he suggested to anyone interested in writing, to "just start writing."
This was a difficult idea for me personally because I am a planner. To just dive right into a story without some sort of strategy was awkward and foreign. I knew I had to start somewhere; so I twisted out of my comfort zone and just started writing.
