I still don't know where men get the audacity. I'm sure there's a story somewhere in there. Or several.

I drove to Dunkin with a mighty thirst. But when I finally reached the speaker in the drive thru, the distorted voice of the window barista nervously said, "We're out of espresso."

My Kindlevella series was inspired by my obsession of two fictional characters. One is from a book and anime series, Vampire Hunter D, and the other is from one of the Dragon Age video games, Zevran Aranai. The story developed into a creature all its own.

Music definitely inspires me a lot. It's hard for my hyperactive imagination not to start making stories up while epic movie trailer music is blaring in my ears (noise cancelling headphones are my best friend). I also genuinely get random triggers for a story throughout the day. It could be something I saw on Pinterest, some random conversation I overheard while waiting for my latte, or fangirling over my favorite fictional characters and wanting to give them a different ending.

There's a lot of amazing things about being a writer, but one of the best things is being able to create a world no one else ever has. It's like you get to go on the adventure with your characters and grow with them, meeting new people and discovering new lands. It's engrossing and honestly addictive.

I try to show myself grace and not push too hard. It's ok to take a break. Your mental, emotional, and even spiritual health are too important not to take time to recharge every once in a while. I find that everytime I had bad writer's block it was because something mentally, emotionally, and spiritually was out of wack.

Currently I'm working on my ongoing Kindlevella series, The Hunter & The Wolf, and my ongoing Wattpad series, Markus In The World of Fae. Sometime in the near future I have to start typing up the draft of the first book in a duology I finished writing last year.
